I re-matted Birds of a Feather today.
The original frame felt too tight, so I stepped up a size and started over. I cut a paper template first, tested the fit, then used it to cut the final mat. The process is all there in the short. Slow, careful, and deliberate.
Once it was in place, the piece finally felt settled. Nothing about the drawing changed, but the space around it did. That was enough. The reveal at the end is just me acknowledging that and moving on.
Prints are available through my Redbubble store. The original framed piece is also available.
This feels like the final presentation.
